Herbal drink joins energy drink range
of a new herbal variant, Herbal Dr Enuf, a cherry-flavoured drink
containing ginseng and guarana.
The Dr Enuf energy drink range has been extended with the addition of a new herbal variant, Herbal Dr Enuf, a cherry-flavoured drink containing ginseng and guarana.
The new brand joins Dr Enuf and Diet Dr Enuf, lemon-lime flavoured energy drinks which contain caffeine, B vitamins and potassium iodide.
Tri-City Beverage, maker of Dr Enuf, cited studies by the Mayo Clinic which showed that ginseng can help fight fatigue, aid concentration and boost the immune system. The company claimed that the herb had also been shown to increase resistance to the effects of stress, improve circulation and mental functioning and reduce the risk of cancer.
The guarana in the drink is said to increase mental alertness, fight fatigue and to increase stamina and physical endurance, the company said.
The original Dr Enuf brand contains thiamine and niacin, B vitamins which are usually found in foods such as sunflower seeds, pecans, peanuts, raw oysters, asparagus and beef liver. It also contains potassium iodide, which is found in bananas, black-eyed peas, oranges, seedless raisins and dates.
