Vendange Wine Cellars, the Californian wine producer, has revealed new packaging for its varietal table wines, which it is making available in 750 ml and 1.5 litre sizes.
The bottle now features a larger base label in cream, with the distinctive Vendange triangular label sporting a "V" over a background of vineyard foliage. The updated graphics, a combination of classic and modern styles, enhances the Vendange appearance to match the quality of wine in the bottle, claimed the company.
"We are thrilled with the new Vendange look," said Vendange brand manager Sarah Cook. "Our goal was to revitalise the label and incorporate evolutionary changes while retaining the recognisable brand elements that hold equity for consumers."
The label redesign project was awarded to the company CF Napa, located in Napa, California. Dave Schuemann, creative director for the project, said: "Our goal in the redesign process was to maximise package effectiveness on the shelf to compete within the category, while raising the quality image and retaining positive design qualities associated with the label."
The newly packaged product is available on retail shelves in the US priced at $4.99 per 750 ml and $8.99 per 1.5 litre.
Vendange is made by Canandaigua Wine Company, a division of Constellation Brands, which is currently the world's second largest wine company.
