Sabaté Diosos, the France-based wine barrel and closures manufacturer, has said that it is to rename the company to reflect greater unanimity for its brands.
The company has said that at its next shareholders meeting,which is to take place on 18 June 2003 in Paris, it will propose a new name for the group to reflect its position as world leader forvalue-added products and services for the wine market.
By adopting the name Oeneo the group says it will be paying tribute to the original crafts and the know-how of its teams, and providing a new more unified identity for its brands, positioning itself as the reference partner for the wine professionals on the international markets.
The company says that the resolution, which will be submitted to the group's shareholders for approval, is the logical follow up of actions and decisions made by the management since April 2002, when the company streamlined its operations in an effort to improve profitability.
Present in all worldwide wine-producing regions, Sabaté Diosos claims to be the only international group to offer a range of valueadded products and services to the wine market.
