Feeling good?

UK-based Feel Good Drinks Company has launched a new variant of its functional soft drinks range, after good response to the line introduced in July last year.

UK-based Feel Good Drinks Company has launched a new variant of its functional soft drinks range, initially introduced in July 2002.

The new flavour, on display at the International Food Exhibition (IFE) in March, is called Naturally Uplifting Apple and Blueberry Juice Drink and contains extracts of rosehip, ginseng and vitamin C designed to boost energy levels.

All of the drinks in the range are a blend of water, fruit juice, added vitamins and botanical ingredients. Other flavours include Naturally Relaxing, orange and mango juice with lemon balm, camomile, green tea and vitamin C, Naturally Energising lemon juice with ginseng, guarana, ginkgo and vitamin C and Naturally Cleansing, a cranberry and orange juice drink with added aloe vera, jasmine and folic acid and vitamins.

Dave Wallwork, managing director of The Feel Good Drinks Company, said: "Having identified and successfully filled a gap in the market for functional drinks that are good for you and taste great, we are looking to expand in several areas so a new variant was a natural progression for us."

He added: "We've been overwhelmed by the response from buyers to the initial range and hope the Naturally Uplifting Apple and Blueberry will be just as successful."

The company is running an ongoing trade and consumer PR campaign and an outdoor advertising campaign is also being launched later this year.

The drinks are available in 375ml widemouth glass bottles at a recommended retail price of £1.19. Retailers such as Sainsbury's, Waitrose and Superdrug already stock some of the company's products.
