Speciality drinks on display

The Speciality & Fine Food Fair 2003, which claims to be the UK's definitive speciality food and drink event, has seen a huge swell in the number of drinks exhibitors to sign up for this year's show.

The Speciality & Fine Food Fair 2003, which claims to be the UK's definitive speciality food and drink event, has seen a huge swell in the number of drinks exhibitors to sign up for this year's show. Producers will be showing a wide variety of juices, coffees, teas, wines and liqueurs at the event, which runs from 31 August to 1 September in Leeds and 7 to 9 September in London.

Showcasing products for the first time will be Australian producers Naked Range Wines, which will be launching its premium Duet range. This includes classic white, shiraz and cabernet sauvignon varieties.

Another interesting exhibitor is Disaster Bay Chillies, with its unique Hot Chilli Wine made from fermented Australian chillies. Cairn O'Mohr Country Wines and Gillies Fine Foods will also be showing their drinks for the first time at Leeds.

Returning to the 2003 event include companies such as Café Origin, which will be promoting its single estate coffees. The company claims to practice environmentally friendly cultivation. Biddenden Vineyards, another regular exhibitor, will be showcasing its range of top quality Kentish wines, ciders, apple juices and brandy liqueurs.

New non-alcoholic drinks will also be on display. Chegworth Valley Juices will be introducing their newest juice, hand-pressed Apple and Elderflower.

A number of specialist drinks producers will be featured on the regional pavilions, reflecting the growing trend for regionally sourced produce, These include Kent Tea & Trading within South East Food Group Area, Lyme Bay Winery on the Taste of the West stand and Boaters Coffee on the Tastes of Anglia stand.

A wide range of international food will also be on show, with products from as far a field as Australia, Italy, Norway, France, USA, Spain, Belgium and Morocco already confirmed.
