Petro-Canada lubricates the German market

Leprinxol is marketing Petro-Canada's Purity FG food grade speciality fluids and greases in Northern and Northeastern Germany.

Purity FG is a full line of food grade products including hydraulic and compressor fluids, extreme pressure gear fluids, heat transfer fluids, greases and other speciality fluids. "Leprinxol is a strong, established company with an excellent reputation for prompt product delivery and outstanding customer service," said Martin Wright, managing director, Petro-Canada Lubricants, Europe.

"This business partnership will make it easier for companies in the food processing and general manufacturing industry in Germany to get access to our lubricants.

Petro-Canada claims that its food grade lubricants are some of the purest in the world. Using the patented HT purity process, Petro-Canada produces 99.9 per cent pure base oils, which are free of the impurities that can hinder performance and reduce lubricant life.

These crystal-clear base oils are then blended with speciality additives for even longer fluid and equipment life.

Good plant maintenance is vital to efficient food processing. Significant cost savings can be made through regular servicing and the use of modern analytical techniques - while a break down in machinery can lead to impressive losses.

01As a result, food manufacturers are often prepared to invest in the latest technology to ensure that nothing goes wrong during the processing phase. The pay off for food manufacturers is that customers, including major supermarkets, are increasingly willing to pay a premium for food that can be guaranteed safe and can be delivered efficiently and reliably.

"Petro-Canada's Purity FG range of high-quality lubricants will be extremely complementary to our product and service offering," said Axel Kaste, Leprinxol general manager.

"The performance characteristics of their unique range of products, which is largely formulated around their 99.9 per cent pure base oils, should please our customers with longer fluid life and increased equipment protection."

Purity FG fits in HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) plans. The lubricants are H1 registered by NSF and acceptable as a lubricant in and around food processing areas, where there is a possibility of incidental food contact.

They are also certified Kosher and Pareve by Star K, and Halal by INFANCA.

"Working with Leprinxol will improve access to our lubricants for the food processing and general manufacturing industry in Germany," said Wright. "Leprinxol is a customer focused organisation that works diligently to understand manufacturing processes and maintenance practices in order to deliver the most appropriate cost-saving solutions.

"Together, we will assist food processors and machine manufacturers so that their demanding performance and food safety needs are met."

Petro-Canada is one of Canada's largest oil and gas companies, operating in both the upstream and downstream sectors of the industry.
