Despite growing concerns across the European Union over restricting alcohol availability, the Get Them In service was launched last month as a means of allowing Facebook users to purchase alcohol online.
According to Jay Feeney, founder of the system, recipients receive a message to their Facebook, SMS or email accounts allowing them through a voucher to redeem a drink at one of hundreds of shops operated by the First Quench retail group.
A number of beer, wine and spirits brands are available through the system, with a percentage of profits set to be donated to a service for providing counselling to people affected by substance abuse, claims Feeney.
