Eastman brings 360-degree shrink label material to Europe

Eastman has launched its Embrace LV copolyester in Europe for use as shrink film labels that can deliver 360-degree graphics.

Suitable for plastic and glass drinks bottles, shrink labels made from Embrace LV copolyester can be wrapped fully around the contours of a bottle to provide maximum space for brand communication and product information.

Eastman says the film can be consistently stretched from the top to the bottom of a bottle so that wrinkles or “smiley faces” are avoided.

Embrace LV copolyester can be printed with thermochromatic, metallic and glow-in-the-dark inks and used with spot varnishing and Organic Photovoltaic (OPV). The copolyester is also recyclable and according to Eastman, it can reduce overall material consumption by permitting companies to use thinner packaging walls.
