Ball shows off digital can printing technology

Digital printing may have taken longer to be applied to cans than it did to paper but Ball Packaging Europe claims that it is no less revolutionary.

John Reed, product commercial manager, at Ball Packaging Europe said digital printing makes it possible to do high quality printing and dramatically cut down the time taken to change designs.

This makes it ideal for small volume promotional products and event marketing but Reed said that in time as costs go down potential applications will broaden.
