New production line will save time and cut costs - Nampak

Nampak claims that newly installed printing technology will reduce food packaging production costs and shorten delivery times by up to eight weeks.

The South African-based firm unveiled the new printing line during an open day at its plant in Vanderbijlpark.

The new five-colour printing line was produced by Crabtree UK, a supplier of FastReady metal print technology.

The packaging giant’s newly installed production line for can end-making was also showcased.

Crabtree UK’s director for capital equipment, John McHugh, said that the new line would reduce delivery times, produce better quality products and reduce costs.

“Nampak DivFood has the equipment, the technology and the enthusiasm to break boundaries in metal packaging, and they are going to great lengths to achieve this for their customers,” he said.
