The company demonstrated the innovation at its stand at packaging trade show Emballage in Paris.
He added the aim was to cover the low cost market for non-carbonated beverages.
The Pull Tab innovation is an alternative beverage pouch format to the traditional straw punch-through pouch that is commonly used.
Other advantages include the ability to utilize high-speed filling lines, use for either hot fill (aseptic) or cold fill, individual printing on the label, and availability of custom pouch shapes and sizes.
