Avure targets all-round HPP services
Bringing a successful high pressure processing (HPP) product to market is much more than just buying a piece of equipment, according to Avure.
At trade show Emballage in Paris, the firm said it supports its processors through the life cycle from concept to commercialisation and product launch.
Avure is working with packaging companies to lower the cost for producers and consumers, Leo Porras, from Avure marketing operations, told FoodProductionDaily.com.
Porras said the HPP business is a $3bn industry, growing annually by 25% and foods processed by Avure equipment make up 65%.
He added that the biggest category was ready-to-eat meats but growing quickly was raw and fresh juices and raw protein for food safety with the firm targeting these areas with future product launches.
