Kraft Foods in $35m production expansion

Kraft Foods has invested $35m to expand a production facility in the US, creating 45 jobs.

The 990,000-square-foot Lehigh County factory, in Pennsylvania, makes A.1. Steak Sauce and Grey Poupon mustard and it has added four product lines and equipment to produce beverage products for single-serve home brewing systems.

Tricia Clark, plant manager, Kraft, Allentown said the company received funding from the Department of Community and Economic Development including; a $200,000 Pennsylvania First Program grant, $90,000 in Job Creation Tax Credits and a $49,500 Guaranteed Free Training grant to train its employees.
