HB Fuller touts its hot melt adhesive for water bottle manufacturers

HB Fuller adhesives manufacturer celebrates its 126 year anniversary this year.

It showcased two product launches at Pack Expo in Las Vegas, the Advantra Encore 4000 for case and carton sealing and the Sesame High Modulus Tape for increased stacking strength for boxes and handles.

Advantra Encore 4000 provides more options for case and carton sealing, and it sets a new standard of performance for our packaging customers,” said Peter Petrulo, business director, End of Line Packaging, North America, HB Fuller.

Since the introduction of Advantra no other supplier has been able to meet this standard of performance. We are committed to continuously developing next generation adhesives that meet customers’ evolving business needs.”

He added water bottle containers are being lightweighted to reduce costs and become more environmentally conscientious and the hot melt secures the bond of the label onto the product and has to undergo several tests to determine which is the most appropriate adhesive for water bottle manufacturers.

Due to its aggressive hot tack, Advantra Encore 4000 hot melt can grab and hold quickly to prevent pop-opens with high-memory board and ease other production issues,” said Petrulo.

Sesame sees improved stacking longevity and up to 40% bulge resistance versus the same packaging with no reinforcement. The High Modulus Tape is applied to the bottom of horizontally-corrugated trays to reduce a bottom sag in a humid environment and a 45% reduction in sag in cold humid conditions versus trays with no reinforcement.
