Evoguard GmbH (also the brand name of Krones’ valve technology business) will be sited in Nittenau, Germany – where a 4,000m2 facility covers R&D, design, sales and assembly – and is wholly owned by Krones.
The German company initially targeted the food, beverage and dairy sectors with Evoguard when it began developing its valve series several years ago but is now branching out.
“In order to accelerate sales growth in sectors outside the food and beverage industry, Krones has spun off its valve technology operations from its core business into a standalone unit,” the company said.
“As an independent and autonomous company, Evoguard GmbH is benefiting from a favorable cost structure, high flexibility and the efficient decision making of a streamlined management structure.”
Asked what proportions of the valves business are accounted for by food, beverage and dairy sectors, a Krones spokeswoman told this website that the company had not evaluated the data.
