Diageo CEO Ivan Menezes has reshaped his management team in light of growth potential in emerging markets including China and India.

Menezes said acquisitions in China and India meant these markets were "key growth engines" for Diageo, and Gilbert Ghostine (left) will focus on developing business there as chief corporate development officer responsible for business development and president, Diageo India and Greater China.

Nick Blazquez will head up Diageo's operations in Latin America and Caribbean as president, Diageo Africa, Eurasia and Pacific. He will assume full responsibility for the markets of North Asia, South East Asia, Australia and Global Travel and Middle East (GTME) in this role, alongside his existing responsibilities for Africa, Turkey, Russia and Eastern Europe.

David Cutter, currently International Supply Centre Director, is appointed President Global Supply and Procurement and will join the Executive Committee reporting to Deirdre Mahlan, CFO.

This is due to the retirement of David Gosnell, president Global Supply and Procurement, at the end of this financial year.
