Social media fans help James White Drinks refresh label design

Premium fruit and vegetable juice manufacturer, James White Drinks, has used social media to choose the redesigned label for its Classics English apple juice range.

The drink, a non-alcoholic alternative to wine, wanted an update in time for the Christmas market. Once the final designs were created, James White used its social media platforms to let consumers choose their favourite design, with 64% preferring the winner. 

The re-launched label features a contemporary illustrative design of an apple in a wine glass, to convey the message that the drinks are a “sophisticated and grown-up non-alcoholic alternative to wine.” The juices are clear filtered and look like wine when in a glass, the company says.

Lawrence Mallinson, MD, James White Drinks, said “The new designs with a wine glass reinforce the Classics range as the ideal non-alcoholic alternative to wine.  It helped enormously to get enthusiastic feedback from our internet voters who definitely helped us make the final design choice.​”

The Classics range has five varieties: Bramley, Cox, Russet, Apple & Elderflower, and Apple & Summer Berries. The range is available in 75cl and 25cl glass bottles.
