The launch comes after the company saw an opportunity in the ‘impulse sector’ of the market after it recently completed a £1m investment in a high speed filling line for Prisma packs at its facility in Devon, UK.
Crediton Dairy has invested more than £15m in upgrading its processing facilities since 2009, £5m of which was made in the last two years to increase production capacity. It has further plans to invest in its plant, people and processes.
“The move by Crediton Dairy into the impulse arena builds upon the success of our Moo brand in the take home sector of the market and is fully in line with our strategy of focusing on the production of added-value flavoured and functional milk based drinks,” said Tim Smiddy, MD, Crediton Dairy.
“The latest development reflects our ongoing commitment to investing in both our processing facilities and ability to leverage increased marketing, category insight and new product development capabilities.
Crediton Dairy producesflavoured, functional and fortified chilled milk drinks, long life milks & creams. Branded products include: Moo, Flora pro activ; Mars flavoured milk and Galaxy chocolate milk and the Gu Hot Chocolate range.
