NutriFresh Services has revealed it is expecting its fourth High Pressure Processing (HPP) machine in April this year.

The subsidiary of New Jersey Frozen Storage said the Hiperbaric 525 machine is for the co-packing, HPP tolling, 3PL, and E-Commerce fulfillment Edison facility.

The fourth HPP system will be customized in terms of operational efficiencies and to ensure safer and fresher products, said the firm, which has a manufacturing and HPP capacity at more than 200 million pounds a year.

Guy Ironi, chief operating officer of NutriFresh Services, said the Hiperbaric HPP machine will allow it to serve a larger portion of the food manufacturing community.

“We can now consider production and processing of ultra-high quality foods and beverages in capacities and efficiencies that will enable these brands to efficiently distribute nationally,” he said.

“Our Edison, New Jersey location can serve half the population of the country within a day's truck drive.  This is another step in the revolution we are happy to lead in how manufacturers of fresh raw food can get products to market, safely and with real commercial scale."
