Shanghai Food Safety Federation visits Döhler

The Shanghai Food Safety Federation has visited Döhler’s Asia-Pacific headquarters.

Döhler and International Dispensing Corporation (IDC) (IDND) hosted the visit of Gu Zhenhua, president, and Jiang Peizhen, secretary general.

The federation operates between Shanghai’s Food and Drug Administration and the country's food and beverage companies.

With Roman Kupper, president of Döhler Asia Pacific, and Li Xin, IDC’s industry advisory board member, the visitors toured Döhler's R&D center and production line of Not-From-Concentrate (NFC) bag-in-box (BIB) juices with IDC’s The Answer aseptic tap last month.

The Shanghai Food Safety Federation said the Döhler NFC juice addressed the “healthy and natural trends in China” and “The Answer allows for safe dispensing of aseptic beverages at ambient temperatures while maintaining the sterility of the remaining contents for weeks.”

Döhler has been running its NFC BIB product line with the aseptic tap for more than a year. Products include orange, apple and mango juices as well as coconut water.

The firm looks at market intelligence, trend monitoring, advice on food safety and microbiology, food law as well as sensory and consumer science.

It is active in over 130 countries and has 26 production sites with more than 4,000 employees.
