BeverageDaily unveils 2017 features calendar

BeverageDaily runs a series of special edition newsletters every year – each putting the spotlight on an innovative industry sector – and we’re looking ahead to our 2017 subjects.

BeverageDaily will publish six special edition newsletters this year, which will be sent via email to our subscribers (you can subscribe via the box at the top right of this page).

How can manufacturers add value to their portfolios? What do consumers really value when searching for ‘healthy’ beverages? What are the hottest trends in functional and fortified beverages? And where could the RTD tea trend go next? These are all questions we’ll address in 2017.

We will also publish two special newsletters dedicated to drinktec, the global trade fair for the beverage and liquid food industry.

If you feel you have something to bring to the discussion, please contact Rachel Arthur at rachel.arthur@wrbm.com. We will consider material of editorial value.

March 10

A 2016 survey of US dieticians earmarked green tea as one of the top 10 super foods for 2017, with other teas made from whole leaves and natural ingredients expected to perform strongly as well.

Meanwhile, the RTD tea category has been one of the success stories to date as consumers seek out healthier alternatives to sugary beverages. What is the market size of this category and how much is it expected to grow? What are the innovations that will continue to drive this category forward? This special edition puts the spotlight on tea and its potential.

Healthy beverages: What do consumers really want?

June 9

Are consumers swapping out sugar for sweeteners - or is it the other way round? How much weight do functional claims carry? What do consumers know about relatively new sweeteners like stevia? And how do they feel about terms like ‘natural’, ‘healthy’ and ‘organic’?

We all know that consumers are increasingly conscious about their health, but what are they looking for in beverages? We put the spotlight on exactly which attributes catch the attention of consumers - and which ones have lost their punch.
