Do you work in beer as an expert in your field? Or are you a brewer that has scaled up operations and can share the secrets to your success? And would you like to meet and discuss the big issues in brewing with fellow enthusiasts?
We're calling for experienced beer gurus, as well as brewers who are willing to share their experiences as a case study, to take part in our conference program.
We’re looking for people who are not only confident in communicating their expertise, but are also keen to get involved in an interactive debate with panelists and attendees.
The sessions will be run at drinktec, a leading trade fair for the beverage industry, and will be moderated by BeverageDaily. The sessions will be run as part of ‘place2beer’, a special area of the show where attendees can try new beers and hear from renowned beer sommeliers.
We’re keen to here from people who think they can offer their expertise or a brewing case study in the following areas:
- Growing your brewery: What are the biggest challenges and opportunities for brewers who want to scale up operations?
- The craft beer landscape: What does the craft beer category look like in 2017 and how will it evolve?
- Marketing and branding: How can beers stand out among a plethora of ‘quirky’ marketing? Does the term ‘craft’ still retain its power?
- Beer styles: Why are IPAs so popular? How big will nitro beers be? What about the trend towards more sessionable beers? How can beer be paired with food and what are the opportunities for beer cocktails?
- Smart packaging: How can packaging add value to the product, and what technologies are beer brands using to engage with consumers?
- The big questions: Will the availability of hops and other ingredients present a challenge? How can brewers ensure their operations are environmentally friendly? Can brewing waste products be utilized for a profit? What social initiatives are brewers getting involved in?
- What’s on your label: What EU regulations do brewers need to note? What other information should brands consider including on the label – what are the benefits of nutrition and ingredients labeling?
- China’s craft beer scene: China is the largest beer producer and consumer – so how does craft beer fit in? It’s predicted that the sector will see ‘explosive development’ – what are the opportunities and challenges in this market?
