SugarSin to launch rosé wine gummies
The soft, bubble-shaped gummies, infused with real rosé wine, blended with strawberry and sprinkled with sour sugar crystals will be sold across Lakeland stores in the UK and online.
Covent Garden shop
Founded by sisters, Anna and Josefin Deckel in 2009 after they moved from Sweden to London, the prosecco and cocktail gummies were launched in August last year.
The duo has now won a contract to supply their range in Waitrose and is renovating and re-launching its Covent Garden Sweet Shop opposite the Royal Opera House, famous for its Willy Wonka-esque interiors.
“Now with a store in Covent Garden and active e-commerce channels, SugarSin is going from strength to strength,” said Anna.
“We sell a mix of Scandinavian and British favourites as well as many varieties from around the world, which we have travelled extensively to source.”
Waitrose will stock the full cocktail gummy range, including on-the-go bags, pots and glass jars for gifting; chocolate including Caramel Almonds, Sea Salted Almonds, Chocolate Brazils and Cocoa Dusted Almonds and SugarSin’s All Butter Fudge and Sea Salted Fudge.
Pick ‘n’ Mix sweets
The sisters came up with the idea for their business after moving to the UK and couldn’t find their favorite pick ‘n’ mix sweets.
During their final year at a London university, they began to toy with the idea of retailing Swedish sweets in London and the brand is now stocked in Selfridges, Waitrose Gifts, John Lewis and Lakeland.
“SugarSin was borne from a lifelong passion for all things sweet, with a dream to create a modern Willy Wonka Factory filled with the world’s most fabulous sweets,” added Anna.
Co-founder Josefin said she was delighted to have extended the range to Waitrose, re-launching the Convent Garden store and this year it plans to launch some new products.
The gluten free cocktail gummy range includes Classic Prosecco, sweetly tangy Fizzy Prosecco Gummies, made with real Italian Prosecco, and cocktail-inspired Cuba Libre Gummies, made with spiced rum and cola.
