The company, based in Vicenza, Italy, has partnered with Spreafico to install three production lines for four types of compatible coffee capsules: Nespresso, A Modo Mio, Dolce Gusto and Lavazza Blue.
Spreafico, headquartered in Calolziocorte, Lecco, designs machines for packaging coffee capsules and soluble products.
Giulio Zanandrea, marketing manager, Caffè Carraro, said the three lines have a six-lane set up and work on two shifts, manufacturing the three types of compatible capsules according to demand.
“Dolce Gusto capsules seem to be in high demand by the market, as it allows for the packaging of a variety of products such as large coffee, espresso, cappuccino and blended drinks requested by the international markets,” he said.
It also guarantees a longterm preservation of the drink and optimal quality during filtering and delivery.
Spreafico machines also ensure the residual percentage of oxygen inside the capsule is less than 1%, which benefits the quality of the product over time.
“In addition to providing the machines for the filling of capsules, Spreafico contributed to the engineering of the line and to the optimization of the layout, demonstrating an approach which prioritizes the client’s needs and problem solving,” added Zanandrea.
