“Those who don’t find themselves visiting a dispensary can still enjoy the taste of our craft beers in other forms."

Two Roots Brewing Co. launched THC-infused beer alternatives last summer. It also has a traditional craft beer line, and now debuts non-alcoholic counterparts.

Five new non-alcoholic and non-cannabis varieties will debut at BevMo! stores across California. With the news of the latest launch, Two Roots says it is expanding beyond the cannabis market and will be the first beverage company to offer a brand involved in all three categories of alcohol, non-alcoholic and cannabis infused.

The new products will be non-alcoholic versions of Two Roots’ craft beer line, which includes a Stout, a Lager, a New West IPA, a Blonde Ale and a Wheat. Two Roots says the craft beer is low in calories and contains electrolytes and vitamin B12.

Two Roots saw an opportunity to participate in the non-alcoholic drink popularity, which has become one of the fastest growing segments in the beer market. It’s doing well with younger customers in particular because they are showing demand for healthier, more mindful food and beverage consumption.

Michael Hayford, CEO of parent company Lighthouse Strategies, said “The demand for high-quality, healthier, low-calorie products continues to grow, and we’re excited to kick off our mainstream entry with BevMo! in California, and continue to work with retail partners nationwide.

“Those who don’t find themselves visiting a dispensary can still enjoy the taste of our craft beers in other forms. With the goal of catering to all consumers, Two Roots is the first line of beer bringing its craft beer to traditional retail, tackling three key markets craft beer, cannabis and alcohol-free, one of the fastest growing global trends.”

The Two Roots cannabis drinks are only sold at dispensaries in California and Nevada and contain 5mg of psychoactive THC per can.

Individual cans and six-packs of the new non-alcoholic line launch first in California, one of Two Roots’ main markets. It plans to expand its mainstream beverages nationwide soon. The company started with a general goal of producing craft beverages, hoping to accomplish two things.

“First, to brew outstanding, unique beverages while having a core focus on the art of craft brewing. Second, through offering a broad range of beverage styles, lead a revolution to provide consumers with choice in social consumption,” Two Roots said.
