An existing line of outdoor-friendly coffee and drinkware from Planetary Design is getting an upgrade. The newly named BruTek products have fresh branding and customization.

Planetary Design said this change comes at the end of a two-year effort to refresh its entire line of products, which will be completed in January 2020 with two product updates and one new product introduction.

The BruTek line is designed to better reflect the company’s target market of outdoor adventure enthusiasts, and it said the new logo will be phased in on all products over the next several months so branding is consistent across the line.

Jess Nepstad, CEO of Planetary Design, said “At Planetary, we believe the new BruTrek brand captures the essence of brewing the best cup of coffee or tea possible during your outdoor adventures.”

“We love our products’ durability and the patents we’ve incorporated into their design. They can be used while at home or in the office, of course, but they’re truly built to make coffee anywhere – at camp, in a cabin, on the road or out trekking.”

The BruTek products are made for harsh conditions, and feature durable, double-wall-insulated stainless steel, with no breakable glass. In the collection are 8oz Camp Cups, a 16oz Adventure Tumbler, a 16oz Double Shot coffee press and a 16oz Big Sky Bistro travel mug.

There is also a 20oz Steel Toe coffee press, a 32oz and 48oz Table Top French press and a 16oz Infuser Mug, which has a fine mesh filter and patented infusion-stopping chamber to prevent over-steeping.

Planetary Design said that coffee roasters and shops can order BruTrek products in wholesale quantities and get them customized with their own logo. In 2018 the company collaborated with Starbucks for custom Airscape containers.

The Starbucks products were available in more than 4,000 of its US locations, and designed for preserving the freshness and flavors of both whole bean and ground coffee. The Airscape collection come sin a variety of container shapes, sizes and materials that remove and lock out air for coffee storage.
