Strawberry and Black Pepper Gin
UK premium gin brand Whitley Neill is launching two limited edition flavors: Brazilian Lime and Strawberry & Black Pepper.
The two new launches fuse the latest flavor trends within the flavored gin category – citrus and strawberry, according to Nielsen data – with creator Johnny Neill’s own experiences.
“With citrus flavoured gins seeing strong growth - and more and more consumers seeking out citrus based cocktails - the Brazilian Lime Gin was created to tap into this trend, while also taking inspiration from Johnny’s travelling experiences in South America,” says the brand.
“It zings with zesty, freshly peeled limes balanced by an herbaceous punch of freshly picked juniper – finished with earthy sweet undertones of liquorice. Perfect for Caipirinhas, Gimlets or even simply with tonic and a wedge of lime.
“Strawberry & Black Pepper takes its inspiration from a bit closer to home, from when Johnny and his family grew strawberries in their kitchen garden in Devon. It boasts an indulgent, bold and fruity scent of freshly picked Devon strawberries with a subtle crack of black peppercorns – finished with a sumptuous, summery strawberry jam kick. Delicious in a cocktail, or with light tonic, chopped strawberries and basil leaves to garnish.”
The limited edition flavors are available in 70 cl bottle formats, 43% ABV with an RRP of £26.
Stambecco Maraschino Amaro
Fine wine and spirits company, Biggar and Leith, has launched a new brand called Stambecco Maraschino Amaro. The craft distilled liqueur is available internationally.
Stambecco Amaro hails from the Vergnano family distillery, Torino Distillati in Pidemonte, North-Eastern Italy, and is made with natural ingredients. The herbal liqueur is created by infusing herbs and spices including sweet and bitter oranges, coriander seeds, marjoram, oregano, wormwood (artemisia blend), cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg with the addition of maraschino cherries. At 35% ABV, Stambecco is ‘smooth, fruity and rounded’.
Stambecco Amaro takes its name from the Italian word for the Ibex long horned mountain goat which roams the Italian Alps near the distillery. The spirit is available from mid-August from Amazon and Proof Drinks with a RRP of £25 for a 70cl bottle.

Zero sugar oat creamer
Nutpods has introduced a new product line: zero sugar oat creamer.
The two varieties in the line are Original and Cinnamon Swirl. The creamers are packaged in combidone, a recyclable / FTC-certified carton bottle from SIG.
Madeline Haydon, Nutpods founder and CEO, said: “We knew that oat as a base ingredient would be a great complement to our nut-based creamers, with its neutral taste and incredible frothability. It has grown even faster than we anticipated. While retailers have slowed resets due to COVID-19, they are still excited about the growth and potential of oat creamers.”
Gin alternative
Loca-Lab, creator of juniper distilled spirit Minus 33, has expanded the portfolio with two new variants – Passionfruit & Mango and Rose & Peony.
Loca-Lab launched the Minus 33 brand in 2015, creating a gin alternative with 46 calories per serve and an ABV of 33%.
“As with the original, both new variants have been carefully crafted using only natural ingredients, with no added sugar and no artificial additives,” says the brand. “Rose & Peony is a delicate infusion of Minus 33’s distilled spirit with rose petals, hints of peony and hibiscus flower, boasting an organic colour, and pairing beautifully with lemonade or tonic and a slice of lemon. Whilst Mango & Passionfruit is a crisp, naturally sweet, sun-kissed twist on Minus 33 using tropical fruit - perfect paired with a tonic and slice of mango.”
“Over the past few years it’s been clear that the craze for flavoured gins isn’t likely to slow down any time soon. However, consumers are increasingly aware of the high levels of sugar and calories that their favourite flavoured gins may contain, with two thirds stating that they would choose a sugar free flavoured gin over one which contains sugar.
"Our Minus 33 concept taps perfectly into this demand, so we’ve expanded our range with two fruity new flavours, which are ideal for those looking to enjoy their favourite tipple guilt-free this summer”.
The Juniper Berries, Rose & Peony and Passionfruit & Mango variants are available in 70cl bottle in the UK.
