Anheuser-Busch InBev has created a newly aligned commercial leadership structure designed to accelerate the next phase of innovation and growth. Based in New York, Ricardo Tadeu, formerly Chief B2B Officer, has been appointed to the newly created role of Chief Growth Officer, reporting to AB InBev CEO Michel Doukeris.
This new structure will align marketing, sales, B2B and Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) under Tadeu in his Chief Growth Officer role.
“Beer is a profitable and exciting category, projected to continue to grow volume and share of throat over the next five years,” said Doukeris. “This new structure is a critical step in delivering our strategy and transforming our business.
"Ricardo’s unrivaled expertise in customer and consumer-focused digital transformation combined with his extensive commercial experience will enable us to meet the moment and accelerate growth in our core business and continue to unlock profitable new business opportunities.”
A 26-year veteran of the company, Tadeu’s experience spans a variety of leadership roles including Chief Sales Officer, Zone President of Africa and Mexico, and Business Unit President for markets including Brazil and Hispanic Latin America. Tadeu is a key architect of the company’s digital transformation having spearheaded the creation of BEES, a vibrant ecosystem with more than 2 billion consumers and 6 million customers, generating over 10 million weekly transactions.
Tadeu is a graduate of Universidade Cândido Mendes in Brazil and holds a Master of Laws from Harvard Law School.
His remit includes the omni-channel direct-to-consumer ecosystem of fast-growing e-commerce platforms, such as Zé Delivery and Beer Hawk, and 12,000+ retail stores, such as Modelorama, which generated nearly $1.5bn in revenue in 2021, increasing over 35% versus FY20.
Bacardi Canada welcomes back long-time Bacardi leader Jeff Branson as Vice President & General Manager for Canada. With 20 years of beverage industry experience, 16+ of those at Bacardi, Jeff returns to the company after two years working at Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits (SGWS) as SVP of Sales for the division dedicated to Bacardi portfolio in North America.
The transition to SGWS and return to Bacardi are part of a program between the two partner companies to accelerate talent development growth and create new leadership opportunities. Branson reports to Pete Carr, Regional President of Bacardi North America, and will return to his native country and will be based in Toronto.
Branson is responsible for the performance of Bacardi in Canada across all functions and activities to deliver the market’s annual financial and commercial plans, as well as developing strong relationships with distributor partners and key customers to expand the company’s presence and growth in the market. He first joined Bacardi in 2000, and during his time with the family-owned business, he held commercial and trade marketing roles in Canada and the US and at regional and national levels.
Branson, who grew up in Antigonish, studied Mathematics at St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia and was part of the inaugural class of a Bacardi leadership program in partnership with Harvard Business School.
Fever-Tree has announced new hires to support its expansion in Australia: following a strong performance in 2021 which included 52% value growth in grocery.
Grant Howard joins the company as Head of Commercial Sales, bringing with him a wealth of experience in the industry as former Customer Director for ALM/Metcash and having worked with Lion in a variety of roles for more than 18 years.
Alanna Gibson, an experienced strategy consultant in retail and consumer goods, joined Fever-Tree in late 2021 as Head of Strategy for Australia and New Zealand, having worked with clients across Europe and Asia Pacific for more than five years.
Together they will identify and explore new growth opportunities for Fever-Tree in Australia.
Fever-Tree has also hired two State Activation Coordinators for the brand’s events. Hayley Moorhead joins the team in NSW, while Ingrid Archer joins the Victorian division.

Dayalan Nayager, currently Managing Director, Diageo GB, has been appointed President, Diageo Africa. Nuno Teles, currently President of the Diageo Beer Company (DBC) in North America, is appointed as Managing Director of Great Britain and will report to John Kennedy, President Europe and India. The changes will take place 1 July 2022.
Dayalan was appointed Managing Director for GB in 2019. Under Dayalan’s leadership, there has been a ‘bold innovation and business development strategy’, including acquisitions of The Chase Distillery, Seedlip and the Santiago de Cuba joint venture. Dayalan has built a more inclusive and diverse business in GB, with gender equality across the total employee population and women making up 70% of leadership roles.
Nuno Teles joined Diageo in March 2018. Prior to joining Diageo, Nuno was with Heineken for 15 years, leading transformational commercial strategies in multiple countries and regions, including the USA, Brazil, and Europe. Since taking on the role as President of the Diageo Beer Company (DBC) Nuno has been instrumental in the transformation of the business and its culture. Under Nuno’s leadership, the Guinness Open Gate Brewery in Baltimore has become the number one taproom in America, with the Chicago taproom due to open in 2023 and during his time in North America, there has been an increase in female representation by 21% over the last year.
Keurig Dr Pepper has this month announced its CEO transition plan.
Ozan Dokmecioglu, currently Chief Financial Officer & President of International, will become the company's next Chief Executive Officer, effective July 29, 2022. Dokmecioglu will join the Company's Board of Directors at that time.
Bob Gamgort, currently Chairman and CEO, will continue to serve as Executive Chairman of KDP for two years.
“The announcement follows the successful completion of KDP's three-year merger integration period, including building the strength of the management team, and provides clarity on succession with a thoughtful transition plan,” says the company. “It also reflects the unique opportunity ahead for KDP to drive significant value creation through strategic capital allocation, following the completion in 2021 of the Company's deleveraging phase, and a heightened focus on continued operational excellence in a challenging and unpredictable macroeconomic environment.”
Gamgort and Dokmecioglu will work in close partnership, as they have since the take-private transaction of Keurig Green Mountain in 2016 and subsequent merger with the Dr Pepper Snapple Group, collaborating on driving the strategic direction of the Company and maximizing the value creation potential of KDP.
As CEO, Dokmecioglu will lead the execution of the Company's strategy and ensure continued operational excellence, both of which have enabled KDP to meet or exceed its public commitments, while Gamgort, as Executive Chairman, will lead the Board of Directors and oversee the deployment of KDP's significant discretionary cash flow. KDP's talented and experienced senior team will continue in their current roles, with the process for recruiting a CFO to succeed Dokmecioglu already underway.
Constellation Brands has promoted Kris Carey to Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, effective May 9, 2022.
Carey will join the company’s Executive Management Committee (EMC) and have oversight responsibility for all aspects of Constellation’s HR support, HR operations, benefits, and global total rewards programs.
Tom Kane, who has been with Constellation for nine years and currently serves as Constellation’s EVP and Chief Human Resources Officer, will retire in May 2022 and will work closely with Carey on transition plans over the next few months ensuring continuity of Constellation’s people strategy.
Carey has held several roles with increased levels of responsibility across Constellation since joining the company in 2013 as VP and Associate General Counsel for its Beer Division. Two years later, she was promoted to SVP and General Counsel for Constellation’s Beer Division, and she subsequently assumed responsibility as the company’s Chief Compliance Officer. Carey has also been a key leader in Constellation’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs, and served as the company’s first Chief Diversity Officer. She joined the company’s HR team in 2019 as SVP, Human Resources supporting its Beer Division.
