With non-alcoholic drinks accounting for 80% of all drinks consumed in the UK out-of-home market, according to figures from Lumina Intelligence, the show offers visitors a unique opportunity to understand the scope, and harness the potential, of a historically overlooked sector which has come into its own.
Expect to see big names including Asahi, Britvic and Lucky Saint exhibiting alongside category pioneers such as Big Drop Brewing, Caleno, Days Brewing, Freestar, Lyres, Small Beer Brew Co. and Thomson & Scott.
Innovative products on the show floor will be complemented by a raft of insight and discussion on The Workshop Stage, sponsored by RPC. Offering three days of essential thought leadership – spearheaded by the likes of The Grocer, The Morning Advertiser and Lumina Intelligence – the stage will offer essential listening for visitors on the hunt for the latest tips, tricks and trends from this emerging market.
The latest in the low and no alcohol sector
The low and no alcohol sector is booming. According to IWSR forecasts, the no- and low-alcohol market is expected to grow by 8% (CAGR 2021-2025), compared to regular alcohol volume growth of just 0.7% in the same period.
2021 was undoubtedly a huge year for the category. The question now is what direction the category will take in 2022 and beyond. New innovations are broadening the category: particularly with functional benefits helping products stand out above the rest for the health-conscious consumer. As more and more products hit the shelves, the potential of the category is widening.
At last year's show, experts warned that the sector lacks clarity - has this changed in 2022? Are price and visibility still the main challenges to growing sales? And could the drivers of the category more complex than health and wellness trends?
Julie Adlington, Exhibitions Marketing Director says, “When we launched Low2NoBev last year, we knew it could provide a range of new opportunities to businesses throughout the industry. A phenomenal response from owners, operators and stakeholders reinforced that belief and has allowed us to enhance and develop the show in 2022 to become the ultimate event for a new era in drinks. I would urge anyone with a stake in the market to register for their free badge today.”
Run by BeverageDaily and FoodNavigator publisher William Reed, Low2NoBev will be held September 26-28 at Olympia London, alongside The Big Hospitality Expo and featuring Catering Equipment Expo.
