Premium independent tequila brand Cazcabel has launched in the US.

Born in the highlands of the Jalisco mountains, Cazcabel is crafted by the Vazquez family, who possess four generations of expertise in agave farming and tequila production. The tequila is made using seven-year-old, 100% Blue Weber agave, with each bottle emblazoned with a depiction of the Jalisco mountains. With the upcoming completion of Cazcabel’s brand home and distillery in Atotonilco El Alto, the expanded production capacity makes it the ‘ideal moment’ for the brand to enter the US market.

Cazcabel has secured distribution in several states including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Kentucky, Kansas, Mississippi, New York, New Jersey, and Illinois; with the brand aiming to expand to 35 states by 2024. By 2025, Cazcabel forecasts that the US will be its largest export market (the brand already exports to 40 international markets).

US pricing targets are $29.99 for Cazcabel Blanco, $34.99 for Cazcabel Reposado, and $27.99 for Cazcabel Honey, Cazcabel Coffee and Cazcabel Coconut.

The launch was inspired by trending coffee-based cocktails and the popularity of the espresso martini.

“Deep and rich with a subtle sweetness, Cazadores Café boasts vanilla and chocolate notes created from a finely balanced blend of award-winning Cazadores Blanco tequila made with 100% Agave, richly roasted Mexican blend of coffee, and agave nectar,” says the brand.

We know our famous Lemonades are firm favourites with shoppers who seek them out. And our consumer research identified a clear interest in our new Raspberry Lemonade."

The light and refreshing non-alcoholic Mexican-style lager is crafted with sea salt and fresh lime puree, coming in at 75 calories per can.

New tequila RTD brand Drink TSL debuts in the US with two products: Tequila, soda and lime; and The Rosarita.

Friends Seth Jarabek and James Glover designed their brand for beach, barbeques or on the boat – where the Rosarita was conceptualized. “The Rosarita was a happy accident,” say the duo. “We were running low on TSL and had plenty of rosé so we put them together, topped them off with soda, and the Rosarita was born.”

Distributed by MHW, the brand is launching in New York, California, New Jersey and online nationwide.

Targeted at the luxury consumer, the brand’s packaging is inspired by the colors reminiscent of muted summer hues seen during golden hour summer sunsets.

The range features Mojito, Piña Colada and Strawberry Daiquiri mixers, and will be available from August 2023 exclusively for the hospitality channel. Bartenders only need to add the chosen spirit to create the classic cocktails.

“Cocktails are worth an impressive £686m in hospitality, having risen by 132% in the past year [CGA], and represent a significant growth opportunity for outlets,” says Britivic. “The new Britvic Cocktail Mixers were chosen from the top five ‘go-to’ cocktails, as half of consumers say they prefer classic drinks that they know and trust.”

All three mixers come in at under 40 kcal per serve, are HFSS compliant and are suitable for vegans.
