Food and beverage industry veteran Ryan C. Guthrie has been appointed as executive vice president for government and public affairs for American Beverage, the national trade organization representing companies that manufacture and distribute non-alcoholic beverages.
Guthrie will lead government and public affairs work for American Beverage, which represents leading members of the non-alcoholic beverage industry. He will oversee the team managing all aspects of environmental and health initiatives and public policy efforts across the country.
Guthrie joins AB from Chipotle, where he built and led the first ever government affairs function for one of the fastest growing restaurant brands in the US. Prior to this, he led the Washington office for Coca-Cola North America.
Guthrie has also worked for federal government relations firms that helped companies and public officials reach consensus on pressing issues and served as chief of staff for Rep. Baron Hill of Indiana.
Guthrie grew up in Seymour, Ind., and went to college at Indiana University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in education. He received a master’s degree in business administration at the University of Maryland.

Coca-Cola Beverages Florida, LLC has announced the promotion of Jeremie Hayford to Vice President, Planning - Commercial Operations.
Hayford has nearly 20 years of experience in the Coca-Cola System with expertise and capabilities in operations planning, forecasting, project management, and logistics and operations management. He joined Coke Florida, the sixth largest Coca-Cola bottler in the United States with 21 million consumers across 47 Florida counties, in 2017.
In the Vice President, Planning - Commercial Operations role, Hayford will work to optimize customer service and improve resource productivity, quality, and the efficiency of commercial operations through a modern, digital-first planning framework. He will also help align the executional objectives of demand planning, transportation, dispatching, and inventory management with Coke Florida’s commercial strategy.
Before joining Coke Florida, Hayford worked across the Coke system in areas including business process engineering, DSD planning, distribution, and end-to-end planning. His most recent role with Coke Florida was as the Director, Manufacturing and Supply Systems, where he provided strategic oversight for transformation projects and support of new and existing applications across Coke Florida’s supply chain.
Suja Life, a Paine Schwartz Partners portfolio company and parent company of Suja Organic and Vive Organic, has appointed Maria Stipp as its new CEO, effective February 20.
Stipp succeeds Bob DeBorde who will retire and remain an active member as Chair of the Board of Directors.
Prior to joining Suja Life, Stipp served as CEO of Sapporo-Stone Brewing Company where she initially oversaw the Stone Brewing business, doubled its size and successfully led the company through its sale to Japanese beer maker Sapporo. Previously, Stipp was the CEO of Lagunitas Brewing Company, and she currently sits on the board of Siete Family Foods and California Olive Ranch.
Outgoing CEO DeBorde joined Suja Organic as CEO in 2019 and drove Suja Life through market-leading growth and profitability while strengthening Suja’s platform position in the healthy beverage segment. In 2022, he oversaw its acquisition of Vive Organic to build a unified portfolio and create the next generation of wellness offerings. While DeBorde will no longer be involved in the day-to-day operations, he will remain active in supporting the company's strategic growth in his new role as Chairman of the Board. Following January’s announcement that Ben Almanzar will step down from his role as Group Chief Financial Officer during the second quarter of 2024, Coca-Cola HBC AG has appointed Anastasis Stamoulis as Group Chief Financial Officer with effect from May 2024.
Stamoulis has been with Coca-Cola HBC for 16 years with Coca-Cola HBC, holding several senior financial positions, including as CFO in several of the Company's operations, as Group Financial Controller, Group Financial Operations and as Head of Strategic Finance and FP&A.
Prior to joining Coca-Cola HBC, Stamoulis spent seven years in senior financial positions in the automotive industry.
As Group Chief Financial Officer, Anastasis will be based at the company's head office in Zug, Switzerland and will lead Coca-Cola HBC's finance organisation with group-wide responsibility for accounting, treasury, financial planning, tax and investor relations.
Anastasis is a Greek national holding a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and an MBA in Finance from the Golden Gate University in San Fransisco. He is a FCMA CGMA Fellow.

Casa Azul Tequila Soda has appointed Dennis Carr as its new CEO.
With 33 years of experience in the alcohol beverage industry, Carr has previously worked for E&J Gallo, Hotaling & Co., C. Mondavi & Family and Boston Beer Co.
Carr’s first initiative as Chief Executive Officer will be to launch the Playa Pack: an array of tequila sodas that symbolize a ‘new era of innovation’ for the brand.
The Playa Pack will feature two new flavors, Pineapple Coconut and Spicy Margarita, in addition to the classic Lime and Grapefruit varieties.
Casa Azul Tequila Sodas feature real Tequila from Jalisco, Mexico, sparkling water, natural fruit flavors and a hint of agave nectar with only 0-1 g carbs, 100 calories per can, and 5% alcohol.
Maria Pia De Caro, currently EVP of Operations and member of the Group’s Executive Committee, will now also be in charge of Corporate Social Responsibility and hold the title of EVP, Integrated Operations and Sustainability & Responsibility (S&R).
De Caro began working at Pernod Ricard in 2023, bringing with her a 30-year long international career in Supply Chain and Operations. She has led engineering, manufacturing, M&A and supply chain transformation teams for a number of international FMCG companies. Prior to joining the Group she held several Operations leadership roles at Procter & Gamble, Mondelez, Unilever and Nomad Foods in Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, China, and UK.
Noemie Bauer, previously in charge of business sustainability, has been appointed Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO), reporting to Maria Pia De Caro. Bauer oversees the strategic direction and global implementation of the Group’s Sustainability & Responsibility roadmap ‘Good Times from a Good Place’ and leads a team of sustainability specialists across climate action, regenerative agriculture, water stewardship, circularity, social sustainability, reporting and engagement.
Bauer joined Pernod Ricard in 2011 in New York and has held several positions in the Group, including Sustainable Business Director and CSR & Public Affairs Manager for the Americas. She holds Business Law & Management degrees from the UCLA School of Law, where she studied environmental law, University Paris II Panthéon-Assas and University Paris I Panthéon-La Sorbonne; and is admitted to the NY State Bar.
