New beverage launches: from energy drink NPD to spirits innovation

Wonderland Cocktails

Wonderland Cocktails, the RTD cocktail brand from BrewDog Distilling Co., expands its range with a new addition: the Chocolate Orange Espresso Martini (pictured above).

The new RTD cocktail is a grocery exclusive for UK supermarket Sainsbury’s.

With a 14% ABV, the Chocolate Orange Espresso Martini uses BrewDog Distilling’s Abstrakt vodka, a super smooth and pure vodka, which is paired with rich Arabica coffee.

Managing director of BrewDog Distilling Co., Steven Kearsley, said: “The Classic Espresso Martini is by far one of our consumer’s favorite cocktails.

"We saw a gap in the market for a twist on this much-loved serve. After trialling a few variants, chocolate orange resonated with us.

"Not only does it taste sublime, but it’s a recognized and loved flavor combination.”

Launched in September 2023, Wonderland Cocktails is a collection of twelve top quality cocktails made using BrewDog's spirits: LoneWolf gin, Abstrakt vodka, Duo rum, and Casa Rayos tequila.

The range includes a Classic Margarita, Watermelon Margarita, Cosmo, Strawberry Daiquiri, Whisky Sour, Espresso Martini, Chocolate Orange Espresso Martini and Passionfruit Martini.

Nespresso USA is piloting a new, limited-time coffee: Master Origins Colombia Ready to Drink Coffee.

The canned coffee beverage comes under the recently launches Nespresso Bloom range, which debuted with a Nespresso honey. The Nespresso Bloom range features honey-based products that are the result of the brand’s commitment to regenerative agriculture practices.

This RTD is an infusion of pure Colombian coffee beans, sweetened with a touch of Nespresso Coffee Blossom Honey to create a ‘bold and refreshing blend’. 

“As on-the-go coffee demand continues to grow in the US, we saw the opportunity to reimagine how Nespresso can elevate coffee moments for today’s consumer,” said Alfonso Gonzalez Loeschen, CEO, Nespresso North America. “This RTD sits at the intersection of functionality and sustainability as a byproduct of our commitment to regenerative agriculture efforts to protect the future of coffee.” 

Flying Horse: rebrand and new flavors

Flying Horse, Britvic’s energy drink brand in Brazil, has announced its rebrand and new flavor.

A new campaign, a refreshed visual identity, and the slogan ‘Free All Your Versions’, aims to attract new consumers while staying true to its loyal followers.

As part of this repositioning, the brand is also launching two new flavours: Mango Juice and a zero sugar version of the classic Original, which join existing products Original, Watermelon, Tropical and Pitaya.

As the energy drink market continues to thrive in Brazil — one of the key drivers of non-alcoholic beverage consumption growth — Flying Horse plans to expand into new channels while increasing its presence in existing markets.

Kava and kratom

US functional beverage brand, Mitra9, has announced its latest innovation: Blue Razz Kava & Kratom Shots.

The drinks contain botanicals kava (which comes from the root or stump of the kava shrub); and (kratom is a tree native to southeast Asia).

The Blue Razz Kava & Kratom Shots are the latest addition to Mitra9's expanding portfolio.

Tequila Enemigo

Luxury tequila brand, Tequila Enemigo, has announced the UK launch of Enemigo 55 Blanco.

Originally developed for the domestic Mexican market, Enemigo 55 represents the fifty-fifth iteration tasted.

The release of Enemigo 55 in the UK marks a new chapter for the brand as it continues to grow its footprint in Europe.

Enemigo is already available in luxury establishments across Mexico City, New York, Los Angeles, Dubai, and Monaco, and this latest expansion aims to bring the spirit of European luxury and Mexican authenticity together for UK consumers.

Enemigo 55 Blanco is available at select distributors, retailers, and hospitality venues, including Hedonism, The Whisky Exchange, and Master of Malt.

It is also featured in cocktails at The Dorchester, Boccocino, and The Hoxton.
