The picture above features in an O.P.I magazine promoting the launch that sees the upscale nail product producer insist that nail color can brighten even the gloomiest day.

Nine shades nod to different Coke brands – classic red for Coca-Cola, silver for Diet Coke/Coke Light, ‘dark sophistication’ for Coke Zero, cherry for Cherry Coke, crèmes for Vanilla Coke, citrus green for Sprite and orange and purple shades for Fanta.

“There’s another bottle that delivers instant happiness, a bottle as iconic and as globally recognized as the silhouette of an OPI nail lacquer bottle, a bottle of Coca-Cola,” the editorial line goes.

Throughout the decades, the unabashedly, shall we say, traditional, editorial adds, beautiful women have drunk Coke in print and in TV adds.

“Whether young and bohemian, pin-up gorgeous, or stylish and sophisticated, the Coca-Cola woman sets the standard for a lifestyle of happiness, style and taste,” OPI says.

“OPI is proud to celebrate the 125th anniversary of this iconic brand with nine new nail lacquer shades designed to make women feel good and look good, shades destined to become as classic as the world’s favorite brand of refreshment,” the company adds.
