Heineken faces the potential prospect of a bidding war to seize control of Asia Pacific Breweries (APB), after a company linked to rival ThaiBev trumped the Dutch brewer's S$50 per share bid in a shock move for a smaller stake yesterday. 

ABA attacks 'clear bias' of BMJ on sports drinks

The American Beverage Association (ABA) has lashed out at the British Medical Journal (BMJ) for a critical article series on sports drinks, and said the journal showed bias in overlooking 'widely accepted' research thereon.
