The Barcelona Packaging Hub has been created to promote collaboration between different companies in the province of Barcelona, while giving visibility and value to the packaging technology of companies in the sector.

Several manufacturers, Effytec, INVPack, Mengibar, Synchropack, United Barcode Systems, Volpak and Xolertic, have joined the new organization.

Barcelona Packaging Hub aims to bring together leading manufacturers of packaging machinery and technology to offer global solutions for packaging projects to companies around the world.

The companies said creating a hub with different associated companies enables them to jointly offer a complete solution for the packaging projects of companies from different sectors.

More than 90% of the companies in the packaging sector in Spain, Portugal and France are concentrated in the province of Barcelona, which is the strategic center for the sector.

The director of the Barcelona Packaging Hub, Lucas Palma, said, "We started the project with great enthusiasm and with the certainty that all the partners will help to boost the sector and the Barcelona brand globally.

“Between us we have many years of experience and a large number of clients that endorse our track record. The creation of the Hub materializes and puts a name to a collaboration strategy that we had already been carrying out in the sector. We need each other and we work well together.”
