Ulma developing quicker bagging system
developing a new method to speed upproduct and bag size changes on
the packaging line.
The Spain-based firm provides bagging equipment for the meat, poultry and bakery sectors. Ulmaclaims its vertical baggers are making inroads in the market due to the company's ability to provide integrated systems for turnkey filling and packing lines.
The firm said it aims to provide for the increasing demand in the industry for equipment standardization across multiple production facilities, thereby providing greater flexibility if production needs to be switched to another unit.
The new bagging system is being developed due to demand from customers who want to increase uptime, while making the machinery safer tooperate, Ulma stated. The company expects the new machines to be available with 12 months.
The companyalso said its Etna Hi Tech vertical bagging machine has become popular due to its versatility in handling liquids, powders, granulated and frozen foods, along with snacks, vegetables and many other particulate products. The equipment is also capable of handing various pack types, including block bottomed, four-sided seal bags, and three-sided seal stand-up pouches.
It's Atlanta Hi Tech horizontal flowrapper is capable of producing up to 100 block bottomed or four-sided packs per minute, the company claims.
Ulma has subsidiaries in 14 countries, and a presence in more than 40 countries worldwide.
