Premium appearance

Elisa Zanellato, marketing and communications manager, P.E.T Engineering, told FoodProductionDaily, it was asked to design packaging with a premium appearance.

Novapet Glasstar PET resin is developed at Novapet PET container technical centre, in Spain, which produces Glasstar with the appearance and thickness of glass, through the conventional process of injection and blow-moulding.

We didn’t develop Glasstar but we tested it in our lab to satisfy the customer’s technical requirements,” said Zanellato.

The bottle’s three dimensional decoration and the use of Novapet's Glasstar reproducing the vibrant transparencyof glass produces an interesting refraction effectand the bottle shines like a crystal in the light.

It is suitable for a metal screw cap.”

PepsiCo, Nestlé Waters

Zanellato added P.E.T Engineering works with companies including PepsiCo, Nestlé Waters, Heineken, Carlsberg, SanPellegrino and Inbev.

If compared with glass: this design has no limits and is more lightweight. Less material is used, it’s unbreakable and reclosable,” she said.

We developed the design of the bottle, and developed it to the highest quality based on ISO 9001 certification. We are a one-stop shop with five basic steps: design, prototyping, R&D, laboratory testing and production of blow molds.

P.E.T Engineering is exhibiting at BrauBeviale2014 in Nuremburg, Germany, November 11-13.
